Guwahati to Shillong: Your Gateway to Meghalaya’s Beauty! ??

After your breakfast, drive to Meghalaya from Guwahati, and witness either the Golden Yellow fields in the drier months, painting a serene and warm landscape or Lush Green surroundings during the monsoons, bringing life and vibrancy to every corner.

Drive through beautiful surroundings, and as you traverse the borders of Assam and Meghalaya, make your stop at Umiam Lake. A man-made waterbody, this gorgeous lake is a sight to behold. Glide over the waters surrounded by scenic hills on a boat or simply gawk at its beauty, soaking in the tranquility of this breathtaking reservoir. 

Drive to Shillong from Umiam, which is less than 20 kms away. Depending upon the time of your arrival in Shillong, you  can head to Wards Lake and then to one of market places in the City Centre or explore quaint Cafes and if evening transcends, you can head directly to your stay.

Day 02
Shillong to Mawphlang and David Scott Trek

Wake up early morning and savor a hearty breakfast before beginning the much-anticipated David Scott Trek  the 16-kilometer trail takes you through some of Meghalaya's most picturesque landscapes. Before setting out, meet your guide, who will provide an overview of the trail and its highlights.

The trek starts from Mawphlang and immediately immerses you in the natural beauty of the Khasi Hills.

Pause at the Umiam Stream, where the tranquil waters provide an ideal spot for a short break and photographs. Along the way, you’ll also come across the historic Resting Stone, a site where travelers and traders once paused during their journeys.
After approximately four to five hours of walking, you’ll arrive at Lad Mawphlang, the endpoint of the trek. Here, you can enjoy a packed lunch or light refreshments while reflecting on the journey. From Lad Mawphlang, a pre-arranged vehicle will take you back to either Shillong or Mawphlang village, depending on your travel plans.

Shillong to Cherrapunji: A Scenic Drive Through Meghalaya’s Heart! ??

Start your day with a rush of excitement!

Early Morning Pick-up: Relax as our professional drivers take you to Swer Village to experience the thrill of Bungee Jumping and drive to Mawkdok Dympep Valley for Zip Lining amidst breathtaking landscapes.

Bungy Jumping Details: 

  • Height is 200 feet. 
  • Time for the entire activity is 30 mins per group of 3. 

Zip Line Details:

  • Half Zip Line: 350 meters long, soaring at a height of 200 feet.
  • Long Zip Line: A whopping 850 meters long, at an exhilarating 700 feet high!
  • All equipment provided, with safety ensured by experienced instructors.
  • Time for the entire activity: 15 minutes per group of 10.

Brace yourself for the challenging descent of approximately 3000 steps. The trek takes you through lush green forests, quaint streams, and serene surroundings. As you reach the Double Decker Bridge, take a moment to marvel at this unique engineering feat and its tranquil setting. The experience is as rewarding as the trek itself.

If your energy permits, continue the trek further to the enchanting Rainbow Falls, a hidden gem in the heart of nature. Here, you can relax by the cascading water or take a dip in the nearby natural pools, surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

In the evening travel to Shnongpdeng which is about 8kms from Dawki for an overnight stay.

  • The customers can prepone /postpone their tour once without any additional charges (if intimated before 15 days of travel date in written). However postponing & preponing second time will attract additional charges.
  • Also note that few service providers (Hoteliers, Transporter etc.) may apply postpone/prepone charges even after meeting above requirement. In such cases postpone/prepone charges will deducted from the advance amount deposited.
